Assam footballer Vinit Rai Chamling in national team for King’s Cup!
Big news is brewing in sports for Assam, for budding footballer - Vinit Chamling, has just been selected to play for the Indian men’s football team in the upcoming King’s Cup that will be held in Thailand! He is one of the 23 finalised list of footballers who have been choosen to play for the Indian football team in the prestigious international football tournament to be held in Buriram of Thailand from June 5 to June 8. The Kokrajhar based football player earlier had been amazingly good, and was the bearer of a very good performance rate as a central midfielder for the Delhi Dynamos team in the Indian Super League (ISL). Apart from ISL, Vinit has also played brilliantly in Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championships and various other international football tournaments.
He did his initial football training at the Tata Football Academy from the age of 13.
The Assam Football Association is delighted with Vinit’s selection along with the football fans of the State.
The Indian men’s football team will play in the international football tournament under the guidance of a new coach named Igor Stimac.
